Black Magic Cake

"Super spooky dark chocolate cake. Suitable for all your black magic get-togethers."

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round cake pans or one 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center.
  3. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Batter will be thin. Pour into prepared pans.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and finish cooling on a wire rack. Fill and frost as desired.

Ingredients 1 tablespoon olive oil  6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves  1 lemon  1/4 cup butter  3 cups fresh sliced mushrooms  2 tablespoons all-purpose flour  1/2 cup chicken broth, or more as needed  1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). "If you'd never heard about pizza before and someone served this to you, I think you'd really enjoy it. Texture aside, the flavor of this final product was very pizza-like, and I'll be doing further experiments to be sure." Ingredients 1 head cauliflower, cored and separated into florets  1/2 cup water  1/2 teaspoon salt  2 ounces fresh goat cheese  1/2 ounce finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese  1 large egg  1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
