Juicy Grilled Corn On The Cob

Directions

  1. Pour the water into a large pot, and stir the sugar and 1/2 cup salt together until dissolved. Place the ears of corn into the pot, and allow to soak at least 30 minutes but no longer than 8 hours.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  3. Remove the corn from the soak and grill the ears, turning every 2 to 3 minutes to cook the kernels on all sides. Brush the grilled corn with butter, and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Toasted Garlic Bread

"Quick and scrumptious garlic bread that will complement any Italian meal. Melted mozzarella is optional, but delicious!" Ingredients 1 (1 pound) loaf   Italian bread 5 tablespoons   butter, softened 2 teaspoons   extra virgin olive oil 3 cloves   garlic, crushed 1 teaspoon   dried oregano salt and pepper to taste 1 cup   shredded mozzarella cheese Directions Preheat the broiler. Cut the bread into slices 1 to 2 inches thick. In a small bowl, mix butter, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly on the bread slices. On a medium baking sheet, arrange the slices evenly and broil 5 minutes, or until slightly brown. Check frequently so they do not burn. Remove from broiler.
